Due to a marathon event at Lake Baldeney, we recommend that you access Villa Hügel via the “Haraldstraße” entrance.

Mon, 3 Oct. – Villa Hügel and park open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Thu, 13 Oct. – Sat, 15 Oct. – Villa Hügel Great House closed, Krupp Historical Exhibition open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fri, 21 Oct. – Grand House Villa Hügel closes at 5 p.m., Krupp Historical Exhibition open until 6 p.m.
Sat, 22 Oct. – Villa Hügel Great House closes at 5 p.m., Krupp Historical Exhibition open until 6 p.m.
Tue, 1 Nov. – Villa Hügel and park open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

By car

GPS: Haraldstrasse, 45133 Essen

Leave the motorway A52 at exit 27 ‘Essen-Haarzopf’ or 28 ‘Essen-Rüttenscheid’, then follow signs for ‘Villa Hügel’.

Coaches can only enter the park of Villa Hügel via the entrance Haraldstraße.

Ample parking spaces and two marked parking spaces for visitors with disability cards are available on the Villa Hügel grounds.

By train

Take the S-Bahn S6, which runs between Essen Main Station and Köln Main Station, to the ‘Essen-Hügel’ stop, then follow the signs on the footpath.
(approx. 300 m walk)
Note: Please be aware that the rail stop is not disabled accessible.

By public transport?

Take the Essen tram line 107 or 108 to ‘Frankenstraße’ and from there bus line 194 to the ‘Zur Villa Hügel’ stop.
