Corona Rules

Corona Rules Villa Hügel

Important information for your visit

The opening of the Villa Hügel estate is subject to strict conditions, which are regularly reviewed and revised.

You would like to visit Villa Hügel and / or take part in one of the private or public guided tours? From 24 November 2021 you will only be able to do so with 2G proof. Please understand that we will check the relevant proof in combination with your valid photo ID before accessing the buildings.

The owner of Villa Hügel is aware of the responsible behaviour of its visitors. Since the health and safety of all visitors and staff have top priority, the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation refers to the rules that apply as a supplement to the parking and house rules:

At home
  • It is necessary to book an admission ticket for the buildings. (to the ticket shop)
  • Please remember your 3G proof.
  • Please only come to Villa Hügel if you are feeling well. For their own safety and for the benefit of all, we ask acutely ill persons to refrain from visiting.
  • Only visit Villa Hügel with persons with whom contact is permitted in accordance with official regulations.
  • It is compulsory to wear medical mouth/nose coverings in the buildings from the age of 6. Please bring your own mouth-nose protection. You are not permitted to enter the buildings without appropriate mouth protection.
2G rule and exceptions

For an individual visit to the park, proof of a negative rapid test, a fully completed vaccination or a survived Covid 19 disease is not necessary.

However, the relevant proof is necessary before entering the buildings, even if you only want to visit the toilet. We are obliged to check the relevant proof without gaps at the entrance to Villa Hügel. Please allow sufficient time for your visit.

Access to the buildings is granted to all persons who are fully vaccinated (at least 2 vaccinations) or convalescent (not younger than 28 days and not older than 3 months). Proof must be provided in combination with a valid identity card.

  • Children and young people under the age of 16 are granted access to the buildings and participation in guided tours subject to compliance with the 3G rule.
  • Children from 6 years of age must present a negative rapid test result, from 16 years of age in combination with a valid photo ID.
  • Persons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons must present a negative rapid test result in addition to a medical certificate (not older than 6 weeks).
  • Unvaccinated pregnant women need their maternity passport and a negative rapid test to gain entry.

Negative antigen rapid test results must not be older than 24 hours and must have been issued by an officially recognised testing centre. Self-tests will not be accepted.
