Exhibition at Villa Hügel Essen from 20. April to 30. November 2013
Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach-Stiftung | Historisches Archiv Krupp
Heinrich Kley, born 150 years ago, was one of the most popular and well-respected illustrators in Germany. Since 1901, he turned towards several aspects of industrial life on behalf of the Krupp company.
Highlight of this small exhibition is one of his main works “Tiegelstahlguss bei Krupp” which seemed to be lost for a long time. This large-sized oil painting and further water colours, drawings and oil sketches of Kley are shown for the first time.
